Day 746 Free Association

Cuz I got nothing, you get this:

A little toy from Unconscious Mutterings

Heres their 10 word free association list posted 9/3/06, with my answers after the dual colons

Wiggle :: worm
Face :: plant
Adjustable :: seat
Room :: space
Easy :: street
Store :: keep
Maid :: luxury
9 pm :: late
Challenge :: dare
Debt :: too much

Dont know what a psychoanalyst would say about this one. Might turn it into a Friday Free Association or possibly a Mental Monday (liking this one) semi regular thing.

Interesting dinner last night. Had grilled asparagus, nothing new there, just sprinkle asparagus spears with olive oil (EVOO), season with a little salt & pepper. Grill em till they get a bit caramelized.

Also did salmon filets steamed on the grill. Assemble your filets on a sheet of aluminum foil. Salt & pepper as you like. Add a generous dollop of brown sugar maybe a cup sprinkled over each filet, then plunk down a slice of red onion. Fold up the foil so it makes a nice, sealed pouch around the filets, then plop it on the grill with the asparagus. Last night, our filets got done right at the same time as the asparagus, maybe 13 15 minutes on a hot grill. Should note that our filets were in the 4 5 oz range.

Also did up rice (some Uncle Bens package mix) and tossed salad as additional sides. Cindy loves the salmon done like this. Jill never had salmon before, but tried it this way and thought it was ok. I like the asparagus paired with the salmon because they are both strongly flavored and one doesnt tend to overpower the other.

Tonights the last night with the Thursday Al Anon group. Too bad. I was liking the group as a whole. There were a few folks that I was kinda not so fond of, but as a whole it was a caring, compassionate group.

The good part of no more Thursday Al Anon meetings? Bowling starts next week. Then I can bore yall with my scores. This years goal? Average 200 or higher at the end of the season. Made it to 196 last year, and even had it over 200 for a wee tiny bit.

Bad part of no more Thursday meetings? Have to break me in to a new group Sunday. 7:30. Wonder how Im going to finally break the news to that certain someone? Its sure isnt clear to me yet. Could be spectacular. Maybe after tonights meeting. Soon as I fess up about the race Saturday too. Man, am I digging myself a hole, or what?

Updated stats:

Weight start: 206.5 on 1/1/06 (265.0 on 1/15/05)
Current weight: 187.0 on 9/5/06 Not as bad as I feared.
Next weigh in: 9/11/06

New target Aim is 180, date? How about Halloween?? Yeah, look like a skeleton by Halloween.

The Keep on Truckin goal: (idea stolen shamelessly from Marns Big Adventure)
Miles at speed 9/6/06: 709.28
Miles with cool down: 779.91
Target for 2006: 1000 miles
