Happy Veterans Day

Day 811 Happy Veterans Day

FIrst and foremost: To all of those who have laid it on the line to defend our country and our beliefs, thank you. Thank you to those who have already sacrificed, to those currently serving, and to those who will serve in the future. The world is a better place because of your efforts.

Dang! Missed posting yesterday. Got stuck running down a weird artifact in our scan images, never got much of a lunch break with which to post. Fixed one of the artifacts, now we're chasing down a couple of others. Single ocurrences in hundreds of scans, and we're hunting the little beggars down. Choosy mothers, aren't we?

After work, went out and watched alma mater high school play in the state soccer tournament. Had to travel all the way to Buffalo (Amherst actually). Amherst Central was hosting two games in our bracket. Nice facility they have there. Huge school too. Don't know how many students they have, but there's room for thousands.

Got home kinda late from the game (we lost, 1-0, kids played hard), grabbed a bite to eat and headed for the sack.

Sneaking in a quicky entry her today. No updating of the vital stats, but I did get in just a lovely workout this morning. Ought to go figure out what's wrong witht eh mixer valve in teh main bath, apparently there is a choice of two water temps when showering, 'really hot' and 'hotter yet'. Sounds like a gasket must have worn or come unseated. It's one of those single control knob dealies. Hope I can find a replacement gasket kit for it. Store I bought it from no longer exists. It's either a Peerless or a Delta, so parts shouldn't be too hard to track down.

Better run, showers to fix.
