Not a failure, but no success, yet

Day 944

Im bummed. A quart of Fruit Punch G@torade, an hour of cycling, a picture of a normal sample (I know, eeewwww! At least the toilet was clean) and all I got was normal colored pee.

Now it could be that the payload hasnt arrived yet. Im not sure how long it takes the ol kidneys to process FD&C Red 40 and get it to the holding tank. Could also be that one quart just isnt enough. There must be something in G@torade that makes you thirstier too. For the first time in quite a while, I actually ran out of liquids during cycling class. During a recovery period, I hopped down and reloaded with plain old water. That seemed to be a signal to a few other folks that it was all right to refill in class, because there were soon 3 or 4 other folks that were in need too.

At least it insured I had the whole quart of G@torade in system, plus an additional 20 oz. or so of plain old water, and a sip or three of coffee. Im sure the coffee wasnt processed yet. Anyhow no red. But I wont let that deter me. The weather here is supposed to be gorgeous tomorrow (50+ degrees, partly sunny gorgeous is relative people) and Im seriously considering a little live, outdoor bike ride. Something in the 90 minute range, Maybe from home (Town of Gates), out to Churchville, south to either Scottsville (old home town) or southerer to Caledonia (bitter school rivals) and then back home. Lets see, thatd be Rte. 33A west to Rte 259, 259 north to Rte 33, 33 west to Churchville & Rte 36, 36 south to Rte 383, then 383 north all the way to Paul Road and loop around the airport, hop on Fisher Rd north real quick & sprint home. I need to grab a map and do a sanity check, but that ought to be 30ish miles. Might take a little longer than 90 minutes, but well call it training for the big 65 miler in June.

Guess thats it for now, unless the next bathroom trip yields some interesting results. Got the ol cell camera phone handy to document any evidence. Time to go run some errands and think about lunch. Was going to rake the yard, but its started sprinkling. Might have to settle for bike tuning & garage cleaning. Oh well.
