Only a quickie today. Still plugging along on the kitchen work. Got more ceiling down and a little wiring in last night. Cindy is down with a nasty cold, so I did the dinner cooking. The kitchen wrecking part came after dinner.

Guess that�s the one thing that really stinks about re-doing a kitchen � trying to maintain an area that�s relatively dust & debris free so meal prep can still happen. Of course, working out of cabinets that are temporarily being held here, there & everywhere just adds to the chaos.

Tonight�s dinner? Pizza & wings. Sucks diet wise, but it doesn�t have to be made at home, clean up is easy, and it frees up oh so much time for all that �other� kitchen work.

Got a call from Cindy this morning. She�d received a call from the staff where her dad lives. Seems he�s complaining of dizziness and just �not feeling right�. She hauled her behind over there and talked to him � seems he felt at one point that he couldn�t move. They�re off to the hospital now to get him checked out � spending the afternoon in the ER. What unadulterated fun that ought to be. I just hope the poor guy didn�t suffer a stroke. Also hope I don�t have to act under that health care proxy anytime soon.

Weather here stinks. Yesterday started off with temps in the single digits. Got a wee dusting of snow from that big system moving through. Actually snowed most of the day � maybe accumulated 2 � 3 inches. Last night the precip switched over to freezing rain. Again. Of course, with all the kitchen work happening, the garage has become a staging area. It holds debris on it�s way to the trash, materials on their way to the kitchen, and some of the bigger, lesser used tools. Which roughly translates to no one is parking in the garage and all that ice we got last night? Gotta scrape before you go anywhere. Such a sweet way to start the day.
